Summarize: Our NEW LIFE IN CHRIST is so exciting, specially when we look back to where we were before! Like the man in this story, we all have been set free from sin and death. Some of us may have also been set free from addiction or the bondage of idolatry. We are now tasked to Live Sharing the Good News of God’s love to others. Jesus said to this man: “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” Sharing the Good News begins with living our NEW LIFE IN CHRIST for others to see. Jesus taught us that: “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven (Matt 5:14-16).” Living our NEW LIFE IN CHRIST for others to see is like a bright light that
gives light to all in the house. Live Sharing the Good News beyond our family and community may means going to another town or province to talk to others about what Jesus has done for us. Jesus charged his disciples, and every Christ follower, to go and make more disciples, starting with where we live and then to go beyond that, all the way to the end of the earth. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth (Acts 1:8).” When we go out to Share the Good News about Jesus, God’s Holy Spirit goes with us and will empower us to be effective witnesses. Let’s start where you are. When you have an opportunity, share with your friends and family about how Jesus has changed your life. Do it this week.
