Grow My New Life in Christ
After receiving our NEW LIFE IN CHRIST, we need to grow in it. Growing is something we do together with other believers and the instruments that help us grow is God’s Word and prayer.

Summarize: As a follower of Jesus Christ, you are not alone. There are 2.4 billion Christians, Christ’s follower, on earth and growing. The global church is almost one third of earth’s population, so look for a local church near you. The local church is a gathering place for Christians to worship God, learn and GROW WITH OTHER BELIEVERS through His teachings as recorded in the Bible, and to live in service to each other and the community. We all need to be in a local church. The Scripture teaches us in 1 Corinthians 12:12-31 that the local church is like a body where Jesus is the head and each of us are members of the one body. There are no lowly or highly valued members, but all members are valued and needed to make the body whole. We need to be in a local church to worship God together and to GROW WITH OTHER BELIEVERS in our NEW LIFE IN CHRIST. We need each other to grow because growing in the faith is a process of leaning and supporting. The weak lean on the strong to grow and as we get stronger, we become supporters to the weak behind us. As we have heard from today’s story, the first church began this practice of gathering and GROWING WITH OTHER BELIEVERS and it has continued until today. Develop a habit of coming to church every week so that, together with others, we grow our NEW LIFE IN CHRIST.
