Share My New Life in Christ

Summarize: It is exciting to have new things in our lives. Remember how when we were young, and mom or dad gave us a new toy? We would cherish that toy and would not let it go, even taking it to bed with us. Our new life in Christ is giving us that childlike joy and excitement, and this is good! Cherish this feeling inside of you. The Scripture refer to this moment in our New Life in Christ as our “first love.” Let this excitement within you comes out freely in your daily living. Living Faithful to the Good News will have two different effects on others around us. It will cause others to rejoice with our new excitement and want to know what caused these new changes. Or people may not like the fact that we have put our faith in Jesus Christ and are now living a new life. Jesus knew this moment will come and gave us these encouraging words: “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you (Matt 5:11-12).” Have you received any persecution from your friends or loved ones? Be encouraged. Count them as blessings because even our Lord Jesus was persecuted for bringing TRUTH to the world and was ultimately killed. Before Jesus died on the cross, He gave us these words of encouragement: “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world (John 16:33).” If we are persecuted for Living Faithful to the Good News, hold tightly to Jesus and put our trust in Him because he has overcome the world. He has risen from the dead and is alive, and He’s always here to comfort and give us strength in our life’s journey.
