My New Life in Christ

Introduction:

Welcome to MY NEW LIFE IN CHRIST! This new life is very exciting, and you will experience many new things. The following lessons will help you understand the events you experienced when you received Jesus into your heart and what the next steps in this new life are. You can use this lesson series to help yourself, but it’s best to work with a friend in the faith to grow your NEW LIFE IN CHRIST. The most effective model is to study the following lessons with a believer brother or sister so that they may disciple you, help you become a disciple of Jesus Christ.

HOW TO USE THESE LESSONS

The following lessons are based on the Discovery Bible Study Method. This method is very easy to practice and can be applied to any story or passage in the Bible. The method includes the following steps:

Tell (read) the Story: John 3:1-16

Ask: What does this passage say about God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit)?

Tell (read) the Story Again: John 3:1-16

Ask: What does this passage say about people?

Retell the Story: Ask for one or more to retell this story, with the group’s help.

Ask: What applies to you, that you could put into practice this week?

Ask: Who can you tell this story to this week? Share with us who you can share this story to this week and let’s pray for each other for God directed opportunities to share this story.

After completing these 10 lessons, you can continue to use the Discovery Bible Study Method for the Bible stories listed under the appendix at the end of the series. The goal is to maintain this meeting time and establish a small group to study the Bible together weekly. Jesus promised, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I will be in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20).” We pray for Jesus’ presence to be with you and this Bible study time.
